Deborah Adeniji, MPS, CHP, is a dedicated public health researcher and advocate committed to advancing community health and social equity. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) at Morgan State University, where her research focuses on reducing health disparities through policy advocacy, data analysis, and community engagement. With a background in health services management and public health administration, Deborah has served in a variety of research and leadership roles across academic, government, and nonprofit sectors.

 

As a Predoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Urban Health Equity, she supports community-based research initiatives, analyzes large datasets, and helps translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations. Deborah’s previous experiences include supporting emergency management policy efforts at the Maryland Department of Emergency Management, facilitating nutrition education initiatives with the University of Maryland SNAP-Ed Program, and advancing COVID-19 outreach efforts with Partnership Efforts for the Advancement of Children's Health (PEACH) in North Carolina. Across all her roles, she is passionate about centering the voices of historically marginalized communities and building systems that promote equitable access to health, housing, and essential services.

 

Deborah holds a Master of Professional Studies in Public Health Administration from Fort Hays State University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Through her work, Deborah remains committed to leveraging research and collaboration to create stronger, healthier, and more just communities.
