EPA/NC Lead Renovator (RRP) Certification Training

Beginning April 2010, contractors performing work that disturbs lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified, and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. The North Carolina Health Hazards Control Unit, Lead-Based Paint Hazard Management Program (LHMP) has state-specific statutes and rules for certification and work practices during renovation, repair and painting activities conducted in Target Housing and Child-Occupied Facilities built before 1978.
